The Gallery at R&F is pleased to present Natalie Abrams solo exhibition, Bound Forces. The exhibit features encaustic works on paper. Ms. Abrams’ abstract imagery straddles a border between machined precision and natural form. She pits bold landscape-like shapes against sculptural wax configurations of extreme delicacy. Her perfect control of surface belies the human hand. Ms. Abrams melds contradictions of materials, macro and micro scales, the natural and the human made, all to carry her ever-present concern for the effects of human activity on nature.

Abrams has exhibited her artwork nationally. She has been curated into solo, two-person and group shows at Redux Contemporary Art Center, City Ice Arts, The Boston Center for the Arts, Endicott College, and Artspace Raleigh. She has been awarded residencies at the Sam and Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts, Redux, Escape to Create, and McColl Center for Art and Innovation. Ms. Abrams received a BS degree in design from Colorado State University. She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Gallery at R&F promotes contemporary uses of oil paint and encaustic. The Gallery is housed in R&F Handmade Paints, 84 Ten Broeck Avenue, in Mid-town, Kingston, NY 12401.
