Class Level: Intermediate-Advanced.
To participate in this class you must register before October 3rd 2017.
This three day workshop presents advanced stenciling techniques using both encaustic and Pigment Sticks. Working with visiting instructor Karen Freedman participants will explore various materials and methods that expand their ability to control line and edge. Students create their own library of marks and shapes by learning to cut and work with stencils. We address the use and care for stencils as well as how to properly fuse in a controlled way around them. You will create dynamic multi layered paintings using overlapping and repeating visual elements. This workshop is most appropriate for students with a strong working knowledge of the encaustic process. Click the title above to read more.
